Rambo
On the
outskirts of a small town in the northwestern United States, John Rambo, a
lonely character dressed in army clothes, appears crestfallen. Cornered
("First Blood", 1982) He has just learned that the last of his
"Green Beret" platoon comrades in the Vietnam War, whom he was
visiting, had died a few years earlier because of the cancer caused by the
"agent" orange".
With no
other direction to go, he decides to go to the center of town to eat something.
At that
moment Will Teasle (Brian Dennehy), the local Sheriff, appears in his car and,
after suggesting that this is a quiet town in which he will not be well
received, offers to take him back to the outskirts to continue Your trip to the
next town.
Upon
reaching the other end, Rambo decides to walk back to the town, in a clear sign
of rebellion against such an act of injustice. Cornered ("First
Blood", 1982) For this reason, is arrested and tried by Teasle under the
charge of "vagrancy" and "resistance to arrest", suffering
unjustified mistreatment by some police. In the end, fed up with so many
vexations, he manages to escape from the police station and take refuge in the
forest, where he is persecuted, first by the police of the town and, later, by
the volunteers of the National Guard. Cornered ("First Blood", 1982)
In his flight through the woods, Rambo shows us all his skills as an elite
soldier (something that my older brother likes so much).
